Aluminium shutters are typically the only type you should ever use outdoors, they are built to withstand the harsh environment.

This varies between applications, generally we do not like to go wider than 1000mm on a hinged shutter, 800mm on a bifold, but sliders can be up to 1400mm wide.

We can use magnetic catches to secure your shutters into place if security isn’t required.  We can also use thumb turn cylinders which give the shutter even more strength but without the need for a key.

Unlike Glass louvres, plantation shutters are not built to be waterproof.  But they are what we classify as weatherproof.  They can be used to block rain on a patio, but we would not suggest removing your glass windows and putting our shutters in there place, especially on carpeted floor.
